TriBridge Residential has begun work for a 246-unit apartment complex in Charlotte’s Plaza-Midwood neighborhood, reports Charlotte Business Journal.
The firm purchased the 5-acre site at 1305 Central Ave. late last year recently started demolition of the existing warehouse buildings at the property.An existing retail building at the corner of Central and Clement will remain, and TriBridge will build the new apartments around it, says Yates Dunaway, vice-president of acquisitions for TriBridge.
The four- and five-story apartment building will wrap around a parking deck at the Central Avenue site, which is on the north side of Central, across the street from the Central Square Shopping Center. The first units at the complex are expected to deliver during the second quarter of 2016, according to Dunaway.
