The North Carolina Plumbing and Mechanical Association’s (NCPMA) 2015 “Best People. Best Practices.” Connections Conference at the Greensboro Coliseum, is scheduled for April 16 from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. “We believe that this year’s conference is going to be our best yet, as we have built from our past successes,” the association says in its newsletter.
Conference highlights include:
9:00 a.m . to 4:00 p.m: Wide variety of vendors with displays.
10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m: Plumbing and Mechanical Code Update Discussions. “We’ve gathered inspectors and licensing board reps to discuss updates and changes to the Plumbing and Mechanical Codes in two separate panel discussion and Q&A sessions. Learn what is going on out in the field and how these updates and changes impact contractors and vendors.
10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m: SkillsUSA-NC Competition. “This competition brings together the best and brightest students in the plumbing and mechanical industries to test their skills. Who will come out on top? Join us and see as these future industry leaders compete for top honors.”
1:00 to 3:30 p.m: A Reverse Tradeshow. “The Reverse Tradeshow was a huge hit with contractors and vendors alike so we’re bringing it back for this year’s Conference,” the newsletter reports. “During the Reverse Tradeshow, we’ll separate plumbing and mechanical contractors into two individual tracks. This will ensure that each contractor and vendor will maximize their time spent together discussing the needs of each business.
