The St. Joseph College Seminary, in the Diocese of Charlotte, is starting construction on its new and permanent home in Belmont.
The college will construct a two-story building with an investment of $20 million, according to news reports.
The building will have a chapel, classroom, library, kitchen, cafeteria, faculty offices and a guest room. In addition, the facility will offer 40 dorm rooms for seminarians, the Gaston Gazette reported.
Construction is expected to take 15 months.
