The Scotland County Board of Education has approved a contract to build a new elementary school in Laurinburg
According to a report from the Laurinburg Exchange, FBI Construction will handle the development of the $22.42-million project.
A groundbreaking ceremony will be held on Monday, Oct. 1, at 5 p.m. with construction scheduled to begin the second week of October.
The school is to be completed around March 2020, though the dates are subject to change.
