Graham’s City Council started the process of providing infrastructure to the development of the Wal-Mart distribution center in Hawfields, reports TheTimesNews.
Recently, the council announced awarding water and sewer line bids. It approved a $1.566 million low bid from Park Construction of North Carolina, located in Morrisville, for Graham’s 50-50 share with Mebane of water and sewer line extensions to the Hawfields site.
The project calls for 9,000 feet of 18-inch sewer pipe, 5,600 feet of 12-inch water line, and two 10-inch water meters, according to project consultant Franz Holt of Alley Williams Carmen and King.
