USGBC NC Triad Branch is hosting its annual Signature event next month at Wake Forest Biotech Place in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
The 2015 USGBC-NC Triad and ASHRAE North Piedmont annual joint event will take place March 10, 2015, at 5:30 – 8:30 p.m.
Five of the major stakeholders in the high performance building arena have signed a memorandum of understanding designed to encourage collaboration and outline a comprehensive framework for jurisdictions seeking implementation and adoption of green building regulations/codes and/or incentives for voluntary leadership programs such as LEED.The International Code Council (ICC), ASHRAE, the American Institute of Architects (AIA), the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America (IES) and the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) have agreed tocollaborative development of Standard 189.1, the International Green Construction Code (IgCC) and the LEED green building program.
This event gives participants an opportunity to learn all of the details and get their questions answers directly from these top level speakers who were directly involved in developing the memorandum. Speakers will be able to provide the most up to date information on this very important agreement and explain what it will mean to the construction industry.
