Strong winds destroy construction site in Raleigh

A construction site in Raleigh is in shambles after severe weather moved through the southern part of North Carolina, CBS 12 News reports.

Wind gusts in the area were recorded as high as 85 miles-an-hour, according to local meteorologists.

The gusts were part of a large storm system that swept through the area and caused damage throughout northern Georgia and the Carolinas and knocked out power to thousands of people.
