Shealy Electrical Wholesalers said that it intends to acquire Charlotte-based Nova Lighting.
Nova Lighting is a specialty lighting company with locations in Charlotte N.C., Columbia, S.C. and Greenville, S.C. The company has a reputation for being on the leading edge of technology and for their in-depth expertise in the lighting and energy markets.
“The acquisition continues a strategic focus on growing our lighting and lighting control presence in the Carolinas. Nova Lighting has positioned itself in the market as a leading lighting supplier, consultant and turnkey provider. Advancements in lighting technology and efforts to reduce energy demand have changed expectations from a distribution and design perspective. Servicing today’s market requires a more sophisticated approach, additional strategic resources, broader and deeper inventory and the ability to cover more territory,” Shealy CEO Bill DeLoache stated.
Both companies will work through due diligence process over the next several months with a planned closing timeline of late third quarter.
