The City of Raleigh’s Department of Transportation is seeking public input on multiple transportation initiatives that could lead to future infrastructure improvements and construction opportunities. Three surveys are currently open, focusing on key roadway, bikeshare, and safety projects.

Tarboro Street Corridor Improvement Project – Survey deadline: March 5

  • The Tarboro Street Corridor Project aims to enhance safety and connectivity along North Tarboro Street, from Oakwood Avenue to New Bern Avenue. The project will link the area to a future Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) station. Following initial community feedback in March 2023, design concepts have been developed, and public input is now needed to finalize streetscape and placemaking elements.

Bikeshare Program Feedback – Survey deadline: Feb. 28

  • Raleigh is assessing the future of its bikeshare program and seeking input from residents. Feedback will help determine potential system expansions, which could lead to additional infrastructure needs, such as new bike lanes or docking stations.

Glenwood South Safety Pilot – Survey deadline: Feb. 28

  • The Mobility Development Group is leading a safety pilot program to improve pedestrian safety in the Glenwood South district. Quick-build intersection improvements are planned over the next six months, with data collection guiding future infrastructure changes.

Comprehensive Safety Action Plan (CSAP)

  • Raleigh’s Comprehensive Safety Action Plan focuses on reducing traffic-related injuries and fatalities. The survey will help identify key safety issues and guide improvements for roadways, pedestrian areas, and intersections.
