The Greensboro Historic Preservation Commission (HPC) is calling for nominations for its annual Historic District Project Recognition Program during Historic Preservation Month. The program aims to highlight exceptional efforts in repair, restoration, and rehabilitation within Greensboro’s three locally designated historic districts: College Hill, Dunleath, and Fisher Park.
Property owners, contractors, architects and community members can nominate projects completed during 2024. Self-nominations are also welcome.
To qualify, projects must have been issued a Certificate of Appropriateness and adhere to the district’s design standards. Each submission must include a brief narrative detailing the project’s scope, as well as before-and-after photographs demonstrating its impact.
The deadline for nominations is Apr. 18. Finalists will be announced during the HPC meeting on April 30, and honorees will be formally recognized at the May 28 HPC meeting.
