Construction crews have reached a major milestone on the Pagemore Hotel at Fenton, with project partners recently celebrating the topping out of the seven-story hotel under construction in Cary’s mixed-use Fenton development.

General contractor W. M. Jordan Company marked the occasion with a topping-out ceremony recognizing the completion of the building’s structural frame. Construction was temporarily paused as workers, subcontractors and project partners gathered for a catered lunch and raffle prizes to commemorate the achievement.

The milestone reflects months of work by craft workers and trade partners involved in the project.

“The completion of the structural frame is a significant step forward for the project and a testament to the dedication and skill of everyone working on site,” the company said in a statement.

The Pagemore Hotel at Fenton will feature 186 guest rooms and is scheduled to open in fall 2027.

In addition to accommodations, the hotel will include Barouk, an Eastern Mediterranean restaurant, as well as a lobby bar and coffee concept. The property will also offer meeting and event space capable of hosting up to 200 guests.

The hotel is one of the latest additions planned for Fenton, the mixed-use development that has transformed a major commercial corridor in Cary. Construction on Fenton began in late 2020, and the development officially opened in May 2022.

The project is located near the former Cary Towne Center mall site, which closed in January 2021 after being acquired by Epic Games for its future corporate headquarters.

Developers have positioned the Pagemore Hotel as a key hospitality component of the growing Fenton district, which includes retail, office, residential and entertainment uses.

With the structural frame now complete, construction will continue on the building envelope, interior systems and finishes ahead of the hotel’s planned opening in 2027.
