OHM Hotels has announced plans for a 123-room Holiday Inn Express and Suites hotel in the new Colinayre development in south Charlotte, the Charlotte Business Journal has reported.
The hotel is expected to open in late 2016 at the mixed-use development at the southwest corner of Providence Rd. West and Johnston Rd.
“The Ballantyne market is a great fit for the Holiday Inn Express brand due to our hotel’s convenient location near Ballantyne Corporate Park,” said Alkesh Patel, CEO of OHM. “We look forward to providing our guests with unmatched comfort and convenience at a great value.”
OHM purchased a 2.4-acre site at the Colinayre project last month for $1.8 million, records show. Work has already begun on a new office building for Bank of North Carolina at Colinayre, and York Development Group is seeking a rezoning for the 13-acre project that would allow for a grocery store in the middle of the site.
