Stakeholders gathered at the Bill Crisp Senior Center in Fayetteville last night for the first of two public workshops aimed at developing a Sustainability Action Plan for the city. This initiative is part of Fayetteville’s plan to create “a greener, more eco-friendly environment”.
A second workshop is scheduled for tonight – Oct. 16 at Senior Center East, 917 Washington Drive, from 6 to 7:15 p.m.
Attendees can provide input on the city’s efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, enhance energy efficiency, and promote environmental stewardship. Feedback collected during this workshop will help shape a strategic roadmap for a sustainable and resilient future.
Additionally, a 10-minute online survey is available for residents to provide feedback until Oct. 25. This survey is another opportunity for community members to influence the Sustainability Action Plan.
The Sustainability Action Plan reflects a commitment to reducing greenhouse gas emissions, enhancing energy efficiency and fostering environmental stewardship across all sectors.
