The NC Building Code Council is beginning its work on the next code cycle rewrite.
The council, which includes Carolinas Associated General Contractors (CAGC) North Carolina lobbyist Betsy Bailey, will meet four days a month from now through September to make a complete review of all sections, CAGC says in an announcement.
“Robbie Davis, committee chair in charge of the Commercial and the Fire Code sections, has asked CAGC members to contact him with any Code issues they would like to see changed,” CAGC says. The council’s goal is to make the codes as user-friendly as possible and to clarify or remove any unnecessary items.
