Mortenson Construction is proud of what we and our regional trade contractor partners have accomplished on the recent Heavy Marine Helicopter Training Squadron 302 Maintenance Hangar at MCAS New River. This new facility dramatically improves the operational capabilities of the entire air station and includes:

  • 70,000-square-foot maintenance hangar with administrative, training, and support spaces
  • 4-level, 350,000-square-foot, 1030-space parking garage (NAVFAC designed)
  • 825,000-square-foot aircraft parking apron
  • 225,000-square-foot expansion of the combat aircraft ordnance loading area
  • 95,000-square-foot aircraft taxiway

The team was recognized for ZERO injuries while performing over 300, 000 man-hours of work.
