More than 100 people attended The Carolinas Associated General Contractors (CAGC) North Carolina Legislative Day on April 5 in Raleigh.
“The annual event, which featured presentations from three key legislators on billions of dollars in capital improvement funding and other issues, was a big hit,” the CAGC says.
CAGC members and staff, along with representatives of AIA North Carolina, the Professional Engineers of North Carolina, the American Engineering Council of North Carolina, and NC Go participated.
The day began at the AIA North Carolina headquarters, with legislative presentations by lawmakers and staff from the four organizations. Next, attendees visited with many of the 170 legislators and observed committee meetings as well as legislative sessions of the North Carolina House and Senate. After the legislative day, CAGC hosted a well-attended social at the Oak and Dagger restaurant in Raleigh, sponsored by Wall Templeton attorneys.
