Mooresville’s project to build a more direct truck route from industrial parks along Mazeppa Road to Interstate 77 will soon likely get an unexpected infusion of $750,000 from the state, reports Statesville.com.

Final approval for the money is expected soon from the North Carolina Department of Transportation, after already receiving legislative approval from the state House and Senate.

The Mazeppa-Cornelius Road Connector project, which will construct a new two-lane road from Mazeppa Road to Cornelius Road, is designed to provide a more direct route for truck traffic to travel from the town’s major business parks to Interstate 77.
