McShane Construction Company has started building a 300-unit Charlotte development, IBM Drive Apartments for RangeWater Real Estate, headquartered in Georgia.
“We are excited to work on another project for our highly valued partners at RangeWater,” stated Scott Hoppa, senior vice-president and regional manager at McShane. “We have built nearly 1,000 units in Georgia for RangeWater over the past three years and look forward to delivering our first project for them in North Carolina.”
The development on a 28-acre site includes three multi-story wood-framed garden-style apartment buildings and a central clubhouse. In addition, there will be nearly 10,000 sq. ft. of amenity space, including an outdoor pool and a dog park.
McShane says it provided pre-construction services for IBM Drive Apartments. “By getting involved during the project’s planning phase, McShane provides cost estimating, value engineering, and constructability reviews that help prevent unforeseen costs or schedule overruns,” the company statement says.
Construction is expected to be completed by March, 2023. The architect of record is Poole & Poole Architecture.
