Lawyer Edward Schenk will discuss The expanding zone of employer liability: New rules governing “joint employment” and liability risks created by people who interact with your workforce at the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) of the Carolinas Triangle membership luncheon on Wed., Jan 13.
“Government enforcement actions of federal employment laws are increasingly common, and potentially costly, for employers of all sizes,” the ABC chapter says in the event announcement. “Edward is experienced in representing employers in EEOC, DOL, NLRB and OFCCP investigations and enforcement actions arising from Title VII (including accusations of discrimination based on race, sex and religion), age and disability discrimination, retaliation, fair labor standards, employee misclassification, family medical leave and a variety of other state and federal employment laws.”
Admission is $25 for members and $35 for non members for the event at the Embassy Suites Cary, 201 Harrison Oaks Blvd. Pre-registration is required.
