The district says registered businesses “will automatically receive notices via email about our upcoming projects to be bid.”
The school district has a minority business program.
“Our Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) Program is dedicated to providing equal access to information and opportunities for minority and women owned construction contractors, designers, and businesses,” the district says. “We take the MBE Program initiative seriously, and are truly invested in providing equal access and opportunity for participation in all construction related projects.”
Under provisions of Senate Bill 914, public entities are expected to reach a 10 percent minimum minority firm participation level on public sector projects.
