HCAC nominations under-way for Brilliance Awards

Nominations have opened for the Hispanic Contractors Association of the Carolinas (HCAC) Brilliance Awards, scheduled for July 21 in Charlotte.

Charlotte Mayor Dan Clodfelter will speak at the Omni Hotel luncheon.

Awards categories include: General Contractor, Trade Contractor, Remodeler of the Year, Partner of the Year, Associate of the Year, Safety Champion and the President’s Award for Outstanding Service to HCAC and for Outstanding Community Service.

“We added a new award category this year, the “Safety Advocate” to emphasize the critical role that safety plays in the construction industry,” said HCAC president Jodi Vedelli  “We think it is extremely important to highlight those companies that integrate safety into their culture and make sure that their employees return home safely every day.”

“We have promised top notch speakers since we started planning this event and we are very fortunate to receive confirmations from our city mayor and key industry experts such as Dave Simpson, president and CEO, Carolinas AGC who will deliver news about industry trends and upcoming opportunities,” said the association’s executive director Julian Arcila. “We are also expecting recognized general contractors and supplier diversity managers as panelists.”
