Demolition has started to prepare for what the Triad Business Journal describes as “one of the largest construction projects in North Carolina A&T State University‘s history.
A student centre at the Greensboro university originally constructed in 1967 will be replaced by a 150,000 sq. ft. new center, more than twice its size.
The proposed center on John Mitchell Dr. will include two restaurants, a convenience store, several branded food venues, recreation areas, a lecture ballroom, 250-seat dining hall, meeting rooms and offices, a university news release says.
The project has been designed by Cannon Design and Vines Architecture.
