The Greensboro City Council voted to appoint a construction-management firm for building a new parking deck at the southwest corner of North Eugene and Bellemeade streets.
News & Record reports that the council voted 9-0 to appoint the Samet Corp./SRS Inc. joint venture to work out a plan and build the deck.
The joint venture has been named as the “construction manager at risk,” meaning the contractors have agreed to build the deck for no more than $22 million in this case.
The City of Greensboro has been working for more than a year to name a contractor in the Eugene St. parking deck process.
