Frampton Construction Company, LLC says it has started construction of Alexander Commerce Park in Durham.

The industrial site on T.W. Alexander Drive in Durham’s Research Triangle Park developed by Trinity Capital Advisors includes three buildings, totalling 441,000 sq. ft., the contractor said in a statement. Two of the structures will occupy 126,000 sq. ft. and the third will be 189,000 sq. ft.

DMA Architecture is providing design services and Kimley-Horn and Associates is the civil engineer. Work on the park begins this month and is scheduled to conclude in the first half of 2022.

The buildings will be constructed with concrete tilt walls and structural steel, with TPO (Thermoplastic Polyolefin) roofs.

“Trinity Capital values its partnership with Frampton Construction,” Trinity partner Massie Flippin said in a statement. “Their quality workmanship and talented staff help to elevate our industrial platform. They’re an integral part of our success.”

The Upper Deck Company out of Carlsbad, California, has already signed on to fully occupy one of the 126,000-sq. ft. buildings. The remaining two buildings are available for lease and are ideally intended for light industrial, advanced manufacturing, pharma, and distribution tenants.

Frampton Construction vice-president Joey Smith said: “This is Frampton’s third industrial park project with Trinity Capital Advisors as developer, and we’ve hit an exciting stride in our partnership. The company has clearly demonstrated a keen aptitude for successful industrial developments, and we’re thrilled to be their construction partner for Alexander Commerce Park.”
