Dewberry says that the North Carolina Department of Transportation’s (NCDOT) Rail Division has selected the company as a general rail planning services consultant.
Dewberry will provide general rail engineering support for various rail-related services under a general engineering contract.
Services may include rail project management and technical support; track, roadway, and structure design and associated preliminary and final plans, specifications, and estimates; engineering feasibility studies for rail corridor projects; and program management support for federal grant programs, the company said in a statement.
“With our robust team of experienced transportation and railroad engineers, we’re excited to provide the NCDOT Rail Division with plans and specifications to expand and improve the state’s current rail infrastructure system,” Dewberry vice-president Rachel Vandenberg said in the statement.
