Furniture maker Design Foundry plans to invest more than $3.1 million in a new plant in Hickory, Catawba County, Gov. Roy Cooper has announced.
The company will partner with Illinois-based Crate and Barrel, and the state has awarded the firm a grant worth as much as $1.5 million to create 202 jobs over the next five years, the news release said.
The company plans to manufacture upholstered furniture in partnership with a major furniture and home goods retailer, the announcement said.
