Construction crews discovered a body in Raleigh’s Crabtree Creek on June 1 and police are investigating.
Workers on an erosion control project along the creek in the 2100-block of North Hills Dr. discovered the body and called police, those at the scene told CBS 17.
The broadcaster reported that the workers had been at the same site the day earlier (Monday, June 1) and not noticed anything. Police said the water was higher the next day, and as it lowered it may have revealed the body. It appeared the body had been in the water for some time.
