Construction is underway on a large industrial project near Charlotte.
Rock Hill City Council approved an economic development agreement for Aspen Business Park that will include 1.8 million sq. ft. of space, according to Charlotte Business Journal.
The Rock Hill Economic Development Corp. owns 98 acres of the land, while the Barron family owns 118.5 acres.
The project will include 10 buildings, just over 1.8 million sq. ft. of space and is expected to create at least 1,000 jobs, according to city documents.
The 216.5-acre park will be developed in multiple phases: the first phase with 851,800 sq. ft. of space and the second phase with 971,625 sq. ft. of space.
