Real estate firm Citisculpt plans to develop a senior facility on a church property located on Sharon Rd., near the Harris YMCA.

The Charlotte firm is waiting for approval for the Pilgrim Congregational Church United Church of Christ property, located on 2.93 acres on Sharon Rd., between Sharon Hills Rd. and Sharon Acres Rd. The land is owned by Holy Covenant United Church of Christ Inc.

When the firm receives approval, it will develop up to 160 age-restricted dependent or independent living units or beds at the site along with accessory units. The rezoning hearing is scheduled for Dec. 14.

According to the Charlotte Business Journals, the developer led by Lindsey McAlpine and Shane Seagle, also plans a 70,000-sq. ft. office and retail development at the intersection of West Morehead St. and interstate 77.

CitiSculpt also recently unveiled early plans for redeveloping a 12.1-acre auto mall in Durham with more than a million square feet of office, retail and apartments. The company will start soon on an apartment complex, the first phase, in a joint venture with Woodfield Investments.
