As part of the firm’s plan to double its workforce in 2018, Consolidated Claims Group (CCG) has announced the relocation of its headquarters to the Bank of America Plaza in Uptown Charlotte.

“After an extensive search, we found the ideal location,” said CCG chief executive Damon Stafford. “The energy in Uptown Charlotte echoes the creative and exciting culture that we have built at CCG… we think that our new location will be attractive for new hires.”

The insurance firm will move into a new 21,000-sq ft. building near a light rail transit station from its existing SouthPark facility, offering easier access to clients from South End, Dilworth, Elizabeth, Plaza-Midwood and North Davidson. The cost of construction is yet to be determined.

According to the announcement released Dec. 12, CCG’s new headquarters will feature open spaces that will allow improved collaboration, communication and coaching. This element also maintains the firm’s culture amid its expansion by maintaining all department offices on a single floor.

In addition, training areas will be included in anticipation of an influx of new hires. These spaces will also be used for the perpetual education of the  firm’s current employees.

Aside from a new facility, operational changes will be facilitated by the relocation. “… we’re also moving to a four day work week to facilitate a better work-life balance for our employees. Our new headquarters affords us the flex space we need to accommodate this non-traditional work,” said CCG president Matt Livingston.
