CAGC, minority contractors explore ongoing collaborative initiatives

Dave Simpson, Carolinas Associated General Contractors (CAGC) president and CEO, made a presentation to attendees of the annual meeting of the United Minority Contractors of North Carolina on May 5 in Raleigh, CAGC reports on its website.

The event, held at the Vernon Malone College & Career Academy, gave Simpson and Bill Stricker, CAGC vice-president of professional development and advisory councils, an opportunity to discuss with attendees ongoing collaborative efforts by CAGC and UMCNC to team up more on education and training, networking and legislative issues.

Also speaking at the annual meeting, of which CAGC was a co-sponsor, was Clancy & Theys Construction Co.’s Scott Cutler, CAGC building division chair and board of directors member. “The effort marks a goal of CAGC board chair Edison Cassels and the board of directors to ramp up such efforts in both Carolinas,” the announcement said
