Cabarrus County issued 3,767 building permits in 2018 for a total estimated value of $703.2 million, the Cabarrus County Construction Standards Office reports.
The largest permit, at $39 million, was for the City of Kannapolis’s new downtown ballpark, the Independent-Tribune reports. Multiple permits totalling more than $20 million were issued for the River Oaks business park.
There were 1,694 permits issued in 2018 for single family detached houses with a total value of $302.2 million. The average permit value for a house as $178,424.
