In one of his final acts as governor, Pat McCrory has appointed Benton E. Albritton of Raleigh as a public member of the North Carolina Licensing Board for General Contractors.
Albritton’s term will begin on Jan. 1, 2017 and run through Dec. 31, 2021.
Albritton, who graduated from UNCW in 2008 with a B.A. in Political Science/Public and International Affairs, is an account executive with Field2Base, Inc. in Morrisville. He previously worked as Director of Government Affairs for the Associated Builders and Contractors of the Carolinas and prior to that, as an aide to U.S. Senator Richard Burr in his Washington, DC office.
Albritton said in a statement he looks forward to representing the public at large in this capacity and upholding the state’s standards for those who enter into contracts for construction work in North Carolina.
