Fortune-Johnson General Contractors, a general contracting firm headquartered in Atlanta, has recently opened a regional office in Charlotte, Charlotte Business Journal reported.
The new office in SouthPark will help Fortune-Johnson better serves clients in the region. The company has built more than 15 projects in the Charlotte area, with 3,000-plus apartments included in its North Carolina portfolio and more than 22,000 units in the Southeast and mid-Atlantic, the Journal reported.
Michael Mitchell, director of preconstruction and business development at Fortune-Johnson, told the publication that they decided to open a regional office in Charlotte because many of its clients, including Crescent Communities and Terwilliger Pappas.
“Since we’ve gotten busier in that market, we wanted to get a stronger foothold,” Mitchell was quoted as saying.
