The Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) of the Carolinas recognized the best of the best in its 15th annual Excellence in Construction Awards on Nov. 17.
More than 700 people attended the industry showcase and award event at the Hilton Charlotte. Awards were presented in more than 15 categories including: Design-Build Award, Carolinas Best in BIM Award, Carolinas Green Award, and Free Enterprise Alliance Award. Awards were presented in a variety of project sizes in the categories of: Churches, Concrete, Mechanical & Plumbing, Healthcare, Electrical, Industrial, Other/ Specialty, Finishes, Roofing & Sheet Metal, Renovations/ Restorations, and Schools.
The EIC General Contractor Project of the Year Award was awarded to Robins & Morton for the CHS NorthEast Mariam Canon Hayes Family Center in Concord, NC. The Specialty Contractor Project of the Year was awarded to Watson Electrical Construction Company for the Sun Devil Solar Farm in Littleton, NC.
