Work will soon begin on $65 million worth of additions and upgrades at Charlotte’s Bank of America Stadium, home of the Carolina Panthers, reports Charlotte Business Journal.

The construction work includes two new 63-foot-by-212-foot high-definition scoreboards, two so-called ribbon boards providing electronic graphics and updates in five-foot-tall bands along the club and upper levels of the stadium interior and a new sound system, the newspaper said.

Escalators will be added at three entry gates, taking fans to the club section and upper level. Four escalator bays, extending the stadium’s exterior by 28 feet, will be added, with open-air canopies encompassing 2,500-square-feet on the 500 level added as fan plazas with TVs and concessions and views of uptown.

Turner Construction will make all of the improvements and changes.
