$2.3 billion in new development for downtown Raleigh

Developers are bullish on downtown Raleigh and the area billions of dollars in new development over the last few years, and is ready to see more projects in the coming years.

According to a report by the Downtown Raleigh Alliance, over $3 billion in development has been completed since 2005 or is under construction, and around $2.3 billion in new developments are being planned, the News & Observer reports.

The report, which can be found here, suggests that the “once-sleepy downtown” is getting ready to add “thousands of new residents, workers, visitors, stores, businesses, parks, and infrastructure.”
