A new 19-story Class A office tower at 615 South College in Charlotte, owned by Portman Holdings, is expected to open in the fourth quarter of 2016. The 370,000 sq. ft. project above the Westin Hotel’s parking deck will break ground in June, 2015, says Portman Holdings CEO Ambrish Baisiwala.
“The project shall start early June even without anchor tenants,” said leasing director Travis Garland.
Architect John Portman and Associates also designed the adjacent hotel.
The building will feature a floor-to-ceiling windows, an elevated green plaza, two story corner balconies, complete fitness center, and a conference facility. The firm aims to achieve an LEED Gold certification for the project.
