A construction worker was seriously injured after a trench collapsed on Aug. 25 at the $1 billion Midtown Exchange construction project in Raleigh.
Police said the accident happened around 11 a.m. on St. Albans Drive near Benson Drive, The worker was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.
WCNC-TV reported “no further information was released at this time.
Dewitt Carolinas is building the 40-acre mixed use project, which includes 790,000 sq. ft. of office space, a 31,500 sq. ft. convention center, 125,000 sq. ft. of retail and restaurant space, 300 hotel rooms, plus condos, apartments and senior and adult living units.
