Synco Properties Inc. and Schlosser Development Corp. have filed a rezoning application for their planned mixed-use development in Charlotte’s SouthPark area, reports Charlotte Business Journal.
The development is planned at the site of The Colony apartment complex in SouthPark area.
If approved, the zoning change to a mixed-use district at the 27-acre site would allow Synco and Schlosser to develop up to 1,100 residential units, 250,000 square feet of office space, 300,000 square feet of retail space and a boutique hotel with up to 300 rooms, according to the firms.
The hearing for the rezoning application is expected to take place in the spring.
