SBA Home, a leading furniture manufacturer, will invest more than $70 million to establish its first North American production facility in Davie County. The new operation in the Town of Mocksville is expected to create 250 jobs, significantly boosting the local economy.
SBA Home is the largest division of SBA Grupe UAB, a Lithuanian conglomerate that exports furniture to more than 50 countries. The company operates four manufacturing facilities and a distribution center in Lithuania. The new 500,000-square-foot facility in Mocksville will manufacture and distribute trendy furniture products, catering to the U.S. market.
“We are excited to launch our journey in the United States, starting in North Carolina—a state renowned for its dynamic business environment and exceptional opportunities for globally growing companies,” said Jurgita Radzevičė, CEO of SBA Home. “With its wide talent pool, excellent infrastructure and logistics, combined with SBA Home’s modern manufacturing expertise, we are confident this venture will create high-quality jobs and have a positive impact on the region.”
The 250 jobs created by SBA Home will include manufacturing, warehousing, administration, and management positions. The company’s investment is expected to generate an annual payroll impact of more than $13.3 million for the region.
The state is supporting the project through a Job Development Investment Grant (JDIG), approved earlier today by the N.C. Economic Investment Committee. The JDIG is a performance-based incentive that will help offset the costs of the company’s investment and job creation.
SBA Home’s investment is expected to have significant economic benefits for Davie County and surrounding areas, offering new employment opportunities and supporting local suppliers and businesses. The facility will also serve as a critical hub for U.S. operations, enhancing North Carolina’s position in the global furniture market.
“We believe this project will create long-term benefits for our community, providing high-quality jobs and supporting local suppliers and businesses,” said Mike Styers, mayor of Mocksville. “Mocksville and Davie County are well-positioned to support SBA Home’s success with our strong workforce and excellent logistics infrastructure.”
