Safe Ride Home (SRH) is an alternative to driving under the influence (DUI). The designated driver service combines the convenience of a taxi with the comfort of the customer’s own vehicle. Safe Ride Home is available in Wake, Durham, Orange and JohnstonCounty on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights from 9:00 p.m. until 3:00 a.m. The service is also available at other times by appointment.

These professionals travel through work zones on a daily basis and regularly encounter the various hazards associated with a work zone.
