The Raleigh City Council approved a major rezoning request for a new 40-story building in downtown.
The tower will be built at the intersection of the Peace Street and Capital Boulevard corridor. The rezoning applies to a 2.92 acre parcel and changes the zoning from 12 stories to 40 stories, WTVD-TV reports.
The project is proposed by Kane Realty Corporation is part of the Smokey Hollow project, which includes a Publix Supermarket already under construction.
