ProVia is expanding its manufacturing footprint with plans to construct a 580,000-sq. ft. vinyl window and patio door production facility in Davie County, creating an expected 400 jobs as part of a major two-state growth initiative.
The company announced it will purchase a 79-acre build-ready site in Mocksville, where construction is expected to begin immediately. The facility is scheduled for completion in 2028 and will become ProVia’s first manufacturing operation in North Carolina.
The Davie County project is one of two new manufacturing facilities announced by ProVia to support growing demand for its vinyl windows and patio doors. The expansion also includes the acquisition of a 310,000-square-foot facility under construction in Dover, Ohio, where another 400 jobs are expected to be created over multiple phases.
Together, the projects will add nearly 890,000 sq. ft. of manufacturing space and approximately 800 jobs while expanding ProVia’s production capacity and strengthening its shipping and distribution network across the United States.
Once completed, ProVia will own and operate 10 production facilities in Ohio, Mississippi and North Carolina and with additional capacity the company will increase production of windows and patio doors, maintain competitive lead times and better serve customers throughout its growing marketplace.
The Mocksville site was selected in part because it is already pre-graded, appropriately zoned and equipped with necessary utilities, allowing construction to move ahead without extensive site preparation. The project is being supported by the Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina and the Davie Economic Development Commission.

He added that the projects also reflect the partnerships formed with local communities and economic development organizations that helped make the expansion possible.
In Ohio, ProVia has reached an agreement to purchase a 310,000-sq. ft. advanced manufacturing facility currently being developed on a 97-acre property in Dover. Construction on that building began in 2024, and ProVia will complete the facility to its specifications after acquiring it. Completion is expected in 2027.
The Dover project is supported by the Ohio Department of Development, JobsOhio, Team NEO, the City of Dover and the Tuscarawas County Economic Development Association.

For North Carolina, the Davie County investment represents a significant addition to the state’s manufacturing sector, bringing a large-scale production facility and hundreds of anticipated jobs to Mocksville as ProVia expands into the southern United States.
Construction on the Davie County facility is expected to begin in 2026, with production operations anticipated following the project’s completion in 2028.
