Pipeline Utilities breaks ground on $7 million Fayetteville drainage and utility upgrade project

Pipeline Utilities, Inc. started construction this month on drainage improvements in Fayetteville’s Rosewood Terrace Subdivision. The construction project will improve stormwater management and includes upgrades to water and sewer services by the Fayetteville Public Works Commission (PWC).

The project will take approximately 14 months on Sunbury Drive, Needham Drive and portions of Rosehill and Pleasant Loop Roads. Construction will be funded with $5.4 million of the America Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds has been allocated for the estimated $7 million project.

The Sunbury Drive Drainage Improvements Project involves the installation of a new storm drainage system starting at the intersection of Kaywood Drive and Sunbury Drive. The drainage system will extend along Sunbury Drive and Needham Drive.

Road closures include a section of Needham Drive from Rosehill Road to Sunbury Drive and a section of Sunbury Drive from Brandon Court to approximately Kaywood Drive.Temporary road closures will occur at various times on Rosehill Road located near Pleasant Loop.
