North Carolina ranked No. 3 nationwide in new solar capacity built in the third quarter, Charlotte Business Journal reported, citing figures from the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA).
SEIA says the state added about 80 megawatts (MW) of solar capacity in the quarter and is on a pace to add about 380 MW this year. Those figures represent the alternating current capacity for the projects.
There should be a large amount of new solar construction as this year ends and through at least the first half of 2015.
