Construction is underway on a new market in Charlotte’s NoDa neighborhood.
The Exchange at 36th will be a combination of a grocery selling pantry supplies and essential goods along with artisanal goods and sandwiches, plus a bar, reports the Charlotte Observer.
The building is being built in the former Behailu Academy site at 451 36th St. The 1,400-sq.-ft. market will be designed with a mix of wood accents, live greenery, industrial and vintage elements, and warm metals.
The project is expected to open next month.
