Mungo Homes wants to build a 562-home neighborhood along the Durham and Wake County line.
Th developer’s proposal includes about 145 townhouses and 414 detached houses to be built off Olive Branch Rd., which connects N.C. 98 with Leesville Road in southeast Durham, the Raleigh News & Observer reports.
The Durham Planning Commission voted 9-2 to recommend rezoning the land for the development and now the City Council needs to approve it.
The rezoning recommended by the Planning Commission will come before the City Council sometime after April 1, according to the report.
