It’s a simple, but effective idea. The Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) of the Carolinas Meet the Generals night “is a speed networking and social event” that offers subtrades and suppliers a one-on-one, opportunity with many local General Contractors
The next Triangle event is Feb. 8 at the Embassy Suites Cary, 201 Harrison Oaks Blvd. After an hour for set-up and registration, there’s networking for four hours from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.
Participation is restricted to ABC members.
“Representatives from industry leading contractor firms will be available to discuss upcoming projects, qualifications to bid, and their business philosophies and practices. Each general contractor will be at a table to visit with specialty contractors.”
There are some rules: participants are encouraged to bring plenty of business cards, and attendance is limited to two representatives per specialty contractor company.
“This is a great networking event for both general contractors and subs,” the association says in a special message to general contractors. “We would love to have you there, this event last year had over 400 people attend! We just ask that GCs bring four people and plenty of business cards and any marketing handouts you would like to provide to the attendees.”
