LeChase Construction Services LLC announced that it named Matthew Hill as building information modeling (BIM) managing director.

Hill’s responsibilities include evaluating and managing software options for the firm’s overall vision of BIM, and developing and enforcing organizational BIM standards and processes.

In addition, Hill will be responsible for identifying field solutions involving the use of BIM technology, informing and educating all the company’s stakeholders about the firm’s BIM capabilities, and assisting with the production of BIM marketing material, as well as overseeing the planning and implementation of BIM companywide, the company said in a news release.

Hill has nearly 20 years of technological experience. He previously worked as a BIM manager at The Boldt Company, The Austin Company and Thorson Baker + Associates Inc., and as a CAD manager at two Cleveland-based engineering firms.

“In an effort to meet both our clients’ requirements and to remain at the forefront of the BIM movement, we’ve appointed Matt to provide additional expertise and support,” stated Mike Konieczka, regional operations manager, SE region. “BIM encompasses the digital generation and management of accurate building data across a project’s entire life cycle, and our decision to bring Matt aboard further illustrates our continuing commitment to offer our clients 3-D, real-time modeling—from predesign through construction—to ensure a successful collaboration and a decrease in wasted time and resources.”
